Mixed Age Class Family

Lyrical Children Policies

We are happy to welcome you to the Lyrical Children family. Please take a moment to review our center policies. By checking the box on the registration page you are agreeing to the stated policies.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.  **Please note the policy regarding pictures and notify the office if you would like to opt out.

Make-up Classes

If you miss your regularly scheduled Music Together class for any reason, you may schedule a make-up class. Two make-up classes are allowed each semester for each registered child, on a space-available basis. They must be taken during the current semester and cannot be "carried over." You may schedule your make-up as soon as you know you are going to miss a class. We often see an end-of-semester rush, so try to schedule your make-ups as early as possible to avoid disappointment.  Bonus Classes will be offered occasionally.

To schedule a make-up class, use our online Make-Up Scheduler. You may search for a class by time, day, or location, and the scheduler will display the available options. If a given class is not displayed as an option for a make-up, it means all make-up spots for that class have been assigned; please schedule your make-up for a different class or check back later to see if a spot becomes available. If you know you will not be attending a previously scheduled make-up class, please cancel it so the spot becomes available for another family.

Photo Release

From time to time photos may be taken during class and used only for the purposes of promoting Lyrical Children's Music Together classes on our website, fliers and/or business Facebook page.  By agreeing to these terms you agree to have you and/or your child's photo taken and used for such purposes.  You may opt out of this at any time by notifying Marie at admin@lyricalchildren.com.

Siblings and Other Guests

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are welcome to attend class at any timeā€”no need to ask. Whole family music-making at home is extremely valuable to your child's music development, and attending class occasionally helps family members feel more comfortable joining in. If you would like to bring another guest (including an older sibling who may be home from school), please call the office. Visitation spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Health Policy

The health of all classroom participants is important to us, so we take measures to ensure the cleanliness of our classroom and limit exposure to germs. Families are asked to either wash their hands or use hand sanitizer on the way into class.  We take time to sanitize our classroom space, instruments, and materials after each class with a child-friendly hospital grade disinfectant. Separate bins are used in class for any instruments that have been mouthed.  We ask caregivers to place instruments in the bin after they have been mouthed so they can be sanitized. If you or your child is sick, please stay home from class and schedule a make-up.

Class Cancellations

Holiday closures will be announced at the beginning of each semester and class dates are noted on the calendar included in your set of materials. Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather, teacher illness, and for other extraordinary circumstances. You will be notified by text if your class is cancelled. The class cancellation may also be emailed and posted on our Facebook account. Cancelled classes will be made up at the end of the session or during vacation weeks.

Text Communication

You will receive instructions with your materials to add your cell phone number to the class text notification system.  We find this is the most reliable way to communicate important information regarding the class you are enrolled in.

Class Times / Teacher

We try very hard to keep to the class schedule posted, however it is possible that the times of classes may be adjusted slightly to accommodate either low enrollment or expansion of full classes.  There are rare instances where the teacher of a class may change due to sickness, absence or unforeseen circumstances.

Music Together Refunds and Credits

Full payment, including a nonrefundable registration fee, is due at the time of registration.  Tuition refunds / credits may be available if you request to drop out of the class before the first day of class.

No tuition refunds are given for class withdrawals after the first class.  If you withdraw after the first class you may be issued a partial credit towards tuition for a future semester.  This credit will be adjusted based on classes remaining in the semester.  Since the Music Together materials are non-returnable and non-refundable that cost will not be included in the credit.  All refunds are subject to a $10 processing fee.

In the event of natural disaster, inclement weather, or community crisis requiring the cancellation of our classes, we will make every attempt to offer additional classes or semester extensions. We will not not offer refunds or credits for classes that are cancelled for reasons beyond our control.

We understand that sometimes unexpected things happen.  However, please note that non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal from class or credit given.  We are not able to offer tuition credits for classes unattended unless an arrangement has been made in advance with the director.
